Winter...
Winter is probably one of the busier seasons in Kelliher if you are looking for things to do to pass the time. Curling Season begins in December, with curling draws three nights a week and several bonspiels help on weekends throughout the season.
The arena is busy as soon as the ice is put in. minor hockey, figure skating, adult recreational hockey and the
Kelliher Komets Senior Hockey Team soon take to the ice.
The Senior Citizens Club keeps its' members busy with activities planned for most afternoons and the occasional evening throughout the winter months.
School students keep busy as volleyball season ends and badminton and basketball begin. The school is also well known for its Drama productions and the annual Elementary Christmas Concert, which draws a large crowd of proud family members!
The Carlton Trail Blazers Drama club holds it's annual Dinner Theatre the first Friday and Saturday of December, and is usually sold out for both evenings.
Snowmobile Derbies are a very popular way to pass the winter, with several hosted right in Kelliher, as well as the surrounding communities. Lots of weekends you will find a Derby held both Saturday and Sunday.
